So I thought I would say a couple of words.

Getting the message yet?

Its pissing down here. Even with my brand new Zippo, I wouldn't be able to set fire to the EU flag flying over the town hall :-(

Succinct and to the point, CR.

We have plenty of lamp-posts, and piano wire is not (yet) a restricted item. All we need now is some suitable bunting to hang from it.

I hate the EU too - even though I live in the western half of the US - I hate it. Things they do there just get copied over here, and vice-versa, this grand experiment in dictatorship they are working on, in US, UK, EU and elsewhere, then swapping ideas. Good posting. I say FEU2.

Anyone would think you didn't like them CR. I can't imagine why, they slave away in Brussels on a pittance wage that barely keeps them in executive jets creating all sorts of wonderful rules and statutes to save you from doing anything naughty, yet you don't appreciate the bastards.

Thing is that big trade blocks are the future of the world (or already the present) so the commie mantra of "united we stand etc...." unfortunately applies.

Overall, I don't think the decisions coming out of Europe are any better or worse than what emerges from Hogwarts here. They just blame Brusseles when they fuck up.

Personally I don't care where I am governed from as long as I approve of the rules. Sad fact is that europeans are far more likely to stand up to shit rules than wet brits are, so being in Europe protects brits from themselves. And that is why Europhobia is not discouraged.

So what?
I had no idea yesterday was Europe Day and I only found out today that the taxpayer funded unions are having a tantrum.

I didn't notice either because neither has any impact on me. I am of the opinion that simple ignorance is the secret to a wonderful life.

I also accept that for most people living in a land where a foreign power rules absolute via a parliamentary reality show is good enough for them. They do not object to paying whatever is demanded as long as they do not have to accept personal responsibility for themselves and their actions.
To these people (the overwhelming majority) the deal is a very good one.

The mutual masturbation society that is the EUSSR? I think they are fucking themselves up with little help from us Human Capital and Biological Resource Units (yep, these are terms used by these idealistic Communitarians to describe us mere serfs).

I suggest we call for a national 'Fuck The EU' day....and see that getting much more support.
